I’m pretty sure I heard Miss Mouse’s first full sentence today. Well, technically I suppose her first sentence was “Bye bye, Daddy.” It was definitely her first instance of sticking two words together to express thought. But today she took it one step further.
This morning, as I brought her downstairs for breakfast, she caught sight of a favorite toy and started thrashing in my arms trying to get to it. I said to her: “Honey, let’s wait on the toy. Don’t you want breakfast?”
And she said — “No! I want that.” Okay, it didn’t come out quite as precisely as I’ve just typed, but I’m never quite sure how to render toddler talk in writing. Perhaps — “No! I wan tat!”
You go, girl.
