Bias and Bargains

May 30th, 2010

Now, I admit that I may be biased. But could there possibly be anything cuter than this?

I’m getting better at that whole pigtail thing, and the outfit helps, too. Slowly but surely I’ve acquired most of the spring line from the Children’s Place. Every time I go by, I’m drawn by its siren song — adorable clothes at great prices (at least when they’re on sale).

Like this little number:

Pants and top for $7. I dare you to resist. Even thrift stores struggle to beat those prices.

What I love about clothes at the Children’s Place is that their girl line is usually feminine without being precious. They go for bold colors and funky styles. Very little lace. Plenty of colors that aren’t pink. And nary a glittery cupcake to be seen. It’s refreshing.
