Vampires in the Classroom

May 7th, 2010

I tell you, my daughter’s Day Care class is inhabited by rampaging wolves. Or vampires. Or some other sort of vicious creature that enjoys gnawing on helpless toddlers.

This is the third time in a month that I’ve arrived to pick up Miss Mouse only to learn that one of her “little friends” sought to triumph in a disagreement by taking a chunk out of one of her appendages!

And when those kids bite, they mean it. Check this out, taken about four hours after the incident.

I did ask the teacher today if there was one particularly ferocious chomper, but she — with a resigned sigh — said that it is a phase that many of the kids are in right now. Apparently, biting abounds.

Jeesh. Who knew that toddlers could be so savage?
