All the Ways I Love You

January 7th, 2011

One of the most special presents that Miss Mouse received this Christmas was a book from her Nana and Papu called All the Ways I Love You. It’s a sweet story with lovely illustrations of a bear cub and her mama (or grandma, or grandpa!), who recounts the various flavors of her love.

The final stanza reads:

“I love you round and round the world. I love you through and through. And when it seems impossible to love you more…I do.”

What makes this book (among the zillions we have!) so very wonderful is that it’s a recordable book. As Miss Mouse turns the pages, my parents’ voices read her the story.

The first time through, she was a bit confused, I think, because my folks were sitting right next to her. But now that they have returned to Chicago, she glows as she pages through it.

And oh how we do love her – through and through and beyond.
