The Only Two Things You Need When Flying With a Baby
June 24th, 2011
Fear not. I am here to help. If you ever do have to fly with a baby, you only need to pack two things to ensure a pleasant trip: a magazine and some curling ribbon.
Yes, friends, that’s it. No need to shell out big bucks on fancy baby toys to cram into a diaper bag the size of a small country, just bring along a pretty, glossy magazine (don’t worry about the contents — your infant can’t read) and some curling ribbon and your small passenger will be happily entertained for hours.
In fact, you don’t even need to bring the magazine with you. On a recent trip to see my parents, Buggie happily shredded the AirMall shopping catalog for an hour straight, talking to himself and grinning madly. We also discovered he had a serious fondness for crinkling wrapping paper and playing with ribbon, so I made him a little toy with several sets of curled ribbon stuck to a piece of leftover gift wrap. He was in heaven.
